What Unravlr Does

Unravlr converts structured Excel workbooks into draw.io diagram files. You supply the structured device and port data; Unravlr processes it server-side to produce a downloadable diagram file returned directly to your browser.

Account and Authentication

Unravlr uses Clerk for authentication. When you sign in, Clerk collects and stores your email address and basic profile information to manage your session. Clerk's privacy policy governs how that data is handled.

Files You Upload

Excel files uploaded for diagram generation are processed to validate the workbook and generate the output diagram. Uploaded files are retained only as long as needed to complete that request and return the result to your browser, unless a feature explicitly saves them to your account. Unravlr does not host or serve uploaded files as standalone downloads.

Generated Outputs

Generated draw.io diagram files are returned directly to your browser as a download and are not stored on Unravlr servers after the download completes.

Billing

Unravlr uses Stripe for payment processing. When you upgrade to a paid plan, Stripe handles your payment details — Unravlr does not store your card number or billing credentials. Billing records maintained by Stripe are subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

Cookies and Essential Technologies

Unravlr uses essential browser-based technologies for authentication, session management, and security. These may include cookies or similar local-storage mechanisms managed by Clerk for signed-in sessions. These technologies are used to keep you signed in, maintain session state, and support security features — they are not used for advertising or analytics tracking.

Logs and Security

Basic request logs are maintained for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and service reliability. These logs may include information such as request timestamps, routing metadata, and error codes. Log data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and is subject to Cloudflare's data handling practices for services that power the Unravlr infrastructure.

Data Retention

Uploaded Excel files are retained only for the duration of the generation request. Generated diagram files are not stored after download. Account data (authentication records managed by Clerk, billing records managed by Stripe) is retained for as long as your account exists, subject to the respective service's data policies.

Third-Party Services

The Unravlr frontend is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The generation backend runs on Cloudflare Workers. Authentication is provided by Clerk. Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Each third-party service processes data as necessary to deliver its respective function. Refer to each service's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

Your Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support. Note that authentication data is managed by Clerk and billing records are managed by Stripe; we can help direct your request to the appropriate service.
